Escape From Zombie Island 2 ready for public consumption

I finished the rendering for the Badass Hero. I've been working on the flamethrower dudes (the fire prop is kind of problematic.) I took a break from them today, and I was thinking the mod could use some proper advisors. How's this for a military advisor? (Old War Vet)

odintheking... That would make a good military advisor for a Military type game. The Old War Vet has a Grey/White Beard and although he would work as a Military Advisor, he would not fit any faction except the Survivors.

This game uses the female advisors just to be very different and because they are used by All Factions. They are intended to be "improper" because there are no proper advisors that would fit all factions in the game :lol:

IF I made all Zombie Advisors, that would be Fun but not fit all factions. The Survivor, Company, Authority, Farmer, and Zombie factions are quite different yet all use the same Advisors so that makes it tough to have any Advisor Fit All of them.
Probably, if the Advisors are ever changed, they would be better as a variety of all Factions rather than any one since there is probably not a way to have all Advisors generically fit all Factions. This would have to be worked out by deciding what each Advisor will be by taking all factions and the game into consideration and making all Advisors at one time so they not only fit the game in general but all factions as well as all go together as an Advisor Group.

Concerning the Hannible Units... since you are making these units for EFZI2 then please work directly with King Arthur and me.
Hannible is an important Leader for the Survivors in the game and needs to be very well done.
Just because anyone makes a unit or anything and posts that it is for EFZI2 without speaking or working directly with King Arthur or me, doesn't mean it will be in the game... I do not to want to "step on anyone's toes" or be put in the position that would seem to cause anyone to feel "put out" with their work. It is always necessary to ask and also work directly with the people we are doing something for...if we want to make sure it is wanted and also acceptable.
Simply said...we prefer to work directly with people concerning any unit additions (especially important replacement units) and we will not just add any unit without approval. This is why it is important to work directly with us on anything that is intended to be added to the game. :)

We have several units that we want replaced with more fitting units and many have already been replaced but we will not merely add replacement units, sight unseen, as better replacements. Anyone can contact and work with us by E-Mail or PM's from this site.
 
@odintheking ... while not right for inclusion for the reasons stated by Vuldacon, just wanted to say that they look very good and you should post them in the Graphics Modpacks section for others to perhaps use. :D

I'm back in the business as you can see and I'm glad to see that Zombie Island 2 is still in good shape.

First,I have to apogolise for that I let down your hopes for the Vampires of Transylvania scenario.If you think that what I have been doing these few years, I have to admit that my school is started to take more and more of my time, so I had to choose school before civ.But now I'm back and I possibly will continue the work on VoT...

But I will not discuss it here! When the time is right I will resurrect the thread for the mod.


But to the main point, the EFZI 2.The work what you have done with the mod is really good ! :goodjob: You have implemented so many good things to the mod,but I would like to change the zombies to the ones from the good old game Blood.But that's only my opinion.
But anyways, I am very glad to see zombie island still living :)

I'm working with Vuldacon on a whole new version of the scenario which should be released very soon. Watch out for it.

I do hope you return to vampire scenario at some point in time. I'll be here to help out if you need it.
 
Infact KingArthur I have returned to making the scen.Map is almost redone and now I have to find the right unit graphics,design the tech tree and then balance it after those things are done.But no more on that topic.

Are you only making a new map for the EFZI 2 ? Or is it the mysterious sequel ?

Designing the scenario is the fun thing, putting it together and balancing everything is no fun at all.

We've kept the existing map but it has grown lumpy bits off it's side to accomodate a few more cities. Most of the changes are gameplay related plus new units, wonders etc...
 
Are you planning to finish the Apocalypse New York and Steampunk scenarios,before you start the work on the sequel ?

Edit: Almost forgot to ask, what kinda vampire scenario is LizardmenRule! working on ?

d.highland... Yes indeed...too many new things to list and all coming along Great. I recolored and added three spiders for the game for one thing and several new "Wonders" (Key Locations) as well as adjusting hundreds of things in the Civilopedia...It has been very time consuming with no breaks. Sorry there has not been an update concerning the game for a while.

Just completed the Old War Vet sounds and want to remake the Car Deaths for the Cars that are currently in the game and add the new car that la_dav is working on. There are actually four different areas that need a car but I believe Three separate cars will suffice.
Plotinus is making a Spunky Kid for the game and I will make sounds and add it soon.
There is also a very nice Hannibal unit that odintheking is working on and that would also be better to have in the game before uploading all. IF some units are not completed and will require a great deal more time, we will upload the game and simply Update the game for any new units later.
Finally believe the Game Play is adjusted better after adding the new Bombard units for all factions and spending a month adjusting and play testing it all.

...As far as I am concerned, the game is ready for the Testers opinions and thoughts but it would be better to have the units that are almost ready, placed before. As Soon As Possible is all I can offer at this point but should not be long now.
 
I just want to thank you arthur for making this scenario but i followed the insturctions on the first page and looked into the civ content couldnt find the scenario also looking forward to the new scenario
 
The Game has been basically ready for the Testers for about a month but there are new units being made and added that have been wanted for improvement. Many new things have been added and many things adjusted and changed.

Plotinus just completed the Spunky Kid and he is perfect. I am working on sounds for the unit now and I am sure Plotinus will Post it as soon as all files are finished.

I am making a new Rushmobile that is almost finished and will make sounds for it as well. Using a 1971 Barracuda Muscle Car that looks very cool.

la_dav was working on the Company Car for me that could also be used as the car from the City Car Park. I have not had any contact with him since mid February when he was celebrating Chinese New Year. Still hope to hear from him soon.

Was wondering what happened to you odintheking...Glad you have your Hard Drive in working order now. Hannibal was looking very Good and I hope you will strive to complete him. Even if time only permits the First Hannibal that you have worked hard on.

I will probably make another needed car for the game after completing all the game work I have to do now. There is a new "Wonder" called "Mike's Auto Shop" at the Garage that produces Cars...it needs a Car. I have a Great looking 68 Camero that could be used. The Company Car and City Car Park both need Cars but if la_dav completes the car for the Company, it could also be used as the Car produced from the City Car Park.

There are some Civilopedia Entries that remain to be written because there are many new units and changes. This should not take long and perhaps the Testers will help a bit there when they have the game for the last test play before the release.

Ultimately, the Monster Zombie will be remade so he has the look that is desired in a Monster Zombie. I have very particular details I want for him so will probably make him myself later when I finally have more time.

I am sure there will be updates for some units such as the Monster Zombie after the Game Release but if any unit desired can be added before the release, that is always better than having to complete the game with updates later. Certainly the Game can be Tested for game play one last time by the Testers before all units wanted are in. As far as I am concerned, the game could be tested any time but the release is pending just a few units to replace existing units and Civilopedia Completion.

In a Statement...the game could be released as soon as I complete the Spunky Kid sounds, which I plan to have finished in a matter of days and when I can manage to gain the Cars needed for the game (working on that). Would also prefer to have Hannibal completed if possible or at least the First Hannibal because he is an important key game unit. All other units that will be replaced could be added as Updates after the Release.
