Escape Velocity Scenario

If you have a Mac or otherwise, do you know a shareware game called Escape Velocity? Ever wanted to be the big cheese in conquoring a galaxy instead of doing petty trading and missions? Well then this scenario should be for you! You can be either the freedom fighting Rebellion or the rich oppresive Confederation! OR you could just watch from the side lines and be the Independents, the Cydonians, the Letheans, the Pirates or the mysterious Aliens who previously tried to conquor the human race! No real technologies or improvements since the game relies heavily on unit warfare. You can make peace or war, it's up to you. Free the galaxy from the evil, oppresive Confederation who have exploited the Outer Worlds for too long, or rid the galaxy of these anarchists and reunite the galaxy under one union again! Or, conquor the human race. Either way. I don't care, really. Scenario is in final stages of testing and graphics refinement. Here are some previews

Is this for the original EV universe (my favourite one) or one of the sequels?

EDIT: For the original EV universe obviously judging from the screens and the civs included

Yup. It's the original universe. I think I'll do the Override universe when I feel up to the challenge because making the original universe was pretty tough with the map editor! Had to find maps, draw out the maps so I can refer to physical data, make my best judgement, etc. But I dunno about EV Nova. *checks* YUP! I could make an EV Nova scenario as well. It'd be pretty cool 'cause there'd be much more ships in EV Nova than the others. Think of this EV Scenario as a test bed for any probable future EV Scenarios. Should probably be released... um ... around the 29th or something like that.

I've already played a couple of turns and I like it already!

A couple of suggestions;

-Add sounds. The sounds of swords clanging together when a starship attacks you is kinda weird.

-Change the flags. The Rebels flying the Macedonian flag. The Confederates flying the NATO flag. It just dosen't look right...

-Add events. You definately need to add some events and some text briefings throughout the scenario. Noschism is a must add.

Other than that, I like it. Good job.

Maced... NAT... OH I SEE! Oh my! I forgot about that war thing in the Former Yugoslavia thing. Oheheheh. ^_^;;;; No prob. I guess I could just make the Rebel and Confederate flags red and blue now that the Alien "flag" is just a purple globe.

As for the sounds, making sounds on the Mac is hard because you gotta do this and that and that and this and I'm not exactly a sound master. It would take up alot of time and take up a bit of disk space as well so I'm afraid you're gonna have to use your imagination on this one. Unless you imagine the sword clanging and grunting as metal missiles colliding with the ships hull before they explode and the grunts are the injured crew men.
