I can get them if you'd like, but lets just say it's not pretty. Most of it's following comes from solid mechanics.
It's very similar to eRepublik in beta/v1, with some tweaks.
They recently introduced an equipment module that works similar to RPG's (with damage ranges, critical hits, etc and equipment that modify these stats). It's different and I've liked it a lot. It makes battles a lot less predictable.

If you just want to share a good game, using a referral link that directly benefits yourself might not show the best faith. It could easily be considered advertising.
However I am seriously thinking about joining as I have been considering trying out one of these for some time. I had fun with the game Cybernations two or three years ago.
Well, signing up via referal does net you an extra 2 gold down the line, but I can appreciate that and considered it. The truth is I put a hell of a lot of time into running various aspects of the United States and don't get a hell of a lot out of it, in terms of things of tangible value. So, I figured if I'm going to go to the trouble of recruiting people, I might as well get something.
Another reason I did this was to, hopefully, direct people to the server I actually play on. It's the older server that does not have a gold buying option. It really didn't have the population to open a second server and doing so cannibalized the population, most especially in the US. We used to be a top 5 country, in terms of population. =/
I actually tried this out once. I didn't like it too much, though there was a lot going against it for me. At the time, I seem to remember feeling like it was one of those games that only people who are on 24/7 could really "win", though obviously the style of game means that isn't the case. I really didn't like the UI, mostly because my computer couldn't load it correctly. And the map was really annoying, how certain countries are there, and certain ones weren't.
It is essentially an eRepublik clone, though I don't know much more about it from my limited time. If that sounds like something you might like, try it. Otherwise, meh.
Yes, as I said earlier the graphics leave something to be desired, but what we like and what it has over eRepublik is that you don't need to be on all the time to 'win', which is definitely the direction eRepublik went in.
I put a lot of time in and, really, don't get a lot but I do it for the love of the game and for the people that don't have as much time but count on me to be looking out for them.
So, it really comes down to how you define winning. I like feeling like a hero and being recognized; people cheering when they see me. That takes a lot of time. But there are those who prefer to be the soldier in battle or the successful business owner or thoughtful politician, all of which require much less time than what I do. My problem is that I'm trying to do it all at once.
Why are the provinces of such disparate sizes? And the populations seemed all messed up.
I sense a strange fyromian conspiracy at work when Macedonia has as many provinces as Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the US. Actually, most of the nations look like they have 6 provinces at start. Design fail.
I bet they did that for game balance purposes.
I think they've taken game balance to a new level. I can't wait to take my 6-province Federated States of Micronesia and roflpwn the great powers.
It's a balance thing, yes and it's really worked out quite well. Every nation has 6 regions and 1 'medium' (read as 'worthless') raw material resource and 1 'high' resource. This gives us all reasons to vie for each others resources but assures that even the smallest countries have an economy, assuming they can fend off their neighbors.
Macedonia, actually, just returned to the map not long ago because they joined an Alliance with Poland and Lithuania, the games superpowers. They may run into trouble soon, though, as Poland and Lithuania are becoming increasingly embattled and will likely have trouble continuing to support their smaller friends.
Thank you all for responding, this is already more receptive a response than I'd figured. ^_^
