The second session has concluded. All countries saw territorial expansion.
Here's the whole world map...
... and the players' territories...
The approximate narrative for each country (feel free to improve/clarify/glorify your country's history):
Austria
Austria began this session by recovering from their previous war with Milan and Bohemia, which ended surprisingly well, considering the situation. After securing several alliances, including with France, Switzerland, and the Papal States, Austria declared war on Milan again. Once again Bohemia sided with Milan, and once again, Austria's main ally - France - dishonoured the alliance. Austria was forced to cede Ostmarch and Lienz to Bohemia, but with determination, scorched earth, and Alpine winters, fought a lengthy war to finally defeat Milan and their minor power allies. As well as four Italian provinces, Austria also annexed Meissen, who had arrogantly demanded tribute even when clearly defeated, out of spite.
Burgundy
Burgundy's session began somewhat similarly to the first session, with a defeat to France and the loss of two provinces, Franche-Comte and Charlerois. However, Burgundy was able to refocus expansion where France wasn't, and soon annexed Bar, vassalized Lorraine, and then annexed Brabant. Later, Burgundy, England, and Castille would all team up on France, finally succeeding in really defeating France. Burgundy would retake three provinces (and regain Charlerois through other means - rebels?), and also be able to take Brabant in a separate war, making for a much more successful session.
Castille
Castille war beset with a regency for much of the turn, but still managed to get involved in some helpful wars through alliances. The Reconquista was completed while there was still a monarch, and Castille then allied with England so that they could take three Portuguese provinces. They also managed to take Bearn from France - a pittance compared to the territory they'd occupied, but better than nothing.
England
England began the session trying to get Normandy via rebels, but ultimately, the rebels were unsuccessful. England then entered the war with Castille against Portugal, and took Normandy by force. Scotland honored Portugal's alliance, and managed to make some inroads into northern England, but ultimately neither gained nor lost territory. With the Norman matter settled, England targeted Provence's northern French territories, which looked ripe for the picking. Unfortunately, Bohemia protected Provence, and the Kalmar Union joined the war as well, making it not quite the walk in the park England had hoped for. No major damage was done, but it was a real war. Later on, England fought in the Anti-French League war, securing a few more provinces in northern France as well as occupying Paris.
Ottomans
The Ottomans began the session by annexing Dulkadir, more of a clean-up from last session than anything, and ending the Timurid war by annexing the only remaining border province. After skirmishing with Qara Koyunlu and the Horde, and saving Wallachia's life at least twice, the Ottomans were de facto at peace with the hordes, and thus declared war on Venice. Eventually, Venice was completely defeated, and the Ottomans took Athens, Naxos, Albania, and Crete in the peace deal. A quick war to take Achaea then followed, and as Achaea's allies refused to make peace, the Ottomans enforced a conquest of Malta as well, to end the war and their territorial gains for this session. That ended 15 years of continuous war, and the Ottomans have spent the time since then attempting, without success, to annex Candar, who is clearly led by fools.
Elsewhere
Hungarian Italy has ceased to exist, falling to a combination of Milan and rebels. We have also seen some Golden Horde success stories, with Muscowy now subdued, and Poland unable to achieve victory. Most impressive, perhaps, is the defeat of the Teutonic Order, giving rise to an independent Gotland, a Mazovian province on the Baltic Sea, and a four-province Riga who is now a regional power.
