Thread for the 1600 scenario in Eurocentrism
It is the turn of the century and things are going on in every corner of Europe. The Christian Reformation is in full swing, and tensions are high. Over in the east the long war is tearing up the Balkans. Transylvania has just become an Ottoman Vassal, and Michael the Brave, of Wallachia, alongside other Christian Empires, go to battle against Transylvania and the Ottomans. It is safe to say that the Ottomans have more enemies than friends in Europe...and it isn't much better on their eastern border with Persia. On the other side of the map, the 9 years war is coming a close as the Irish, backed by the Spanish, are battling for freedom from British rule. Possibly play as the Georgian kingdom of Imereti, and attempt to get your capital of Kutaisi back from the Ottomans, or as one of the small Italian republics, and battle for the rule of the Mediterranean economy. Meanwhile in the North, Sweden is seconds from invading the Commonwealth of Polish-Lithuania. The Swedish army vastly outnumbers the commonwealth's, but Poland-Lithuania is a much more populated empire, and it will be very difficult for Sweden to keep up those numbers.
