Expanding Borders

hey: i need help: im new to colonization, how do u expand the borders of ur colonies?? i always seem to have my colonies available space taken ova by some other power and its really irritating...please help

You expand your culture boundaries by producing liberty bells. ie by having a colonist in your town hall.

thanks and also when u change the game speed to: uhh say: Epic, does the game length change to like 400? or something?

Marathon is 900 turns, Epic is 450 turns, Normal is 300 turns, Quick is 225 turns

Don't produce liberty bells too soon, as the king adds military units to his REF as you increase rebel sentiment. It sucks a bit, but there's not much you can do. I wish it was tied to crosses instead, since they're responsible for things like drawing more people to your colonies.

I always start producing them right off the bat in order to grab a few choice founding fathers and then I cut it back to zero only starting it up again to pick off FF I really want.
