External Hard Drives and Dual-Booting

All right, some of you have heard my old-programs dillemma. Anyways, I have 98 SE, so is it possible to get external hard drive, install it on that, and plug it in and reboot whenever I want to play games?

Just wondering. I won't be disappointed if not, cos I really want to build a computer anyways.

You can build a dual boot machine on your main hard drive. Windows doesn't really want to boot to any drive accept C

Yeah, but I'm a bit worried I'd accidentally ruin my computer.
