extras files

Ander C3C download in www.civ3.com there extra files for C3C which was included in Play the World but not in Conquest.
I puted it in extara falder in CivPlayTheWorld rutt folder.

But i didnot figgure fow to use them. (And I want that so badly)

If any one know so plz plz explane. Thk.

Before I came across this great site, I went to that civ3 site, but was most confused there... All I was looking for at the time was the latest patch and that site made it look like the earlier patches were the latest. But then I found this site and found the latest patch and also a great forum, so I don't even bother with that civ3 site anymore... It'll only confuse and get you lost or at least that what happened to me, sorry I don't know anything about how to get those files from there though

Chances are far better to look for new files from this site though...

Check out the tutorials forum on how to had units.

If you just want to use something like the winter terrain set, just replace the existing terrain files with the winter files.

Be sure to save a copy of the orginal terrain files in a folder somewhere for when you decide to go back to the original.

Alternatively you could set up a separate scenario folder with all your alternate files in it and load/play that scenario (thus leaving all your original files alone).

The extra folder you mention. Does it contain zipped files (*.ZIP)? If so you must unzip them. Once unzipped the files should be placed into the PTW / scenarios folder.

If you are using a wizard to unzip the files, you can give the path to the scenarios folder.
example C:\civilizationIII\PTW\scenarios
This will extract the filesdirectly to where they need to be. When you run PTW and select play scenario the terrain files should show up.
