I've been having some trouble tracking down the exact meaning of some of the facedit options. In particular options such as "robust, impunity, and No Drones". I was hoping someone here might have a) the answer or b) a link in the right direction.

thanks

IIRC Impunity to [social engineering option] removes the negatives of said [social engineering option]. eg Aki Zeta 5 has a Cybernetics impunity.

No Drones I always assumed meant no drones appear for said faction... not tested mind you.

Robust - no idea, sorry.

These options (and others) are all documented in the Alpha(x).txt file (near the end):

ROBUST = Halves the intensity of minus effects in the named
; social area ("ROBUST, EFFIC" halves minus efficiency
; effects in social model).

IMPUNITY = Impunity :-) from minus effects from a particular
; social setting. "IMPUNITY, Police State" prevents
; all - effects from "Police State" setting.

NODRONE = Number of drones per base made content

I've recently been experimenting with the NODRONE function and am finding it to be a good way of compensating AIs for their lack of crawler usage. Right now I'm hovering around a "NONDRONE, 3" and a "NODRONE, 2" on large/ huge maps. By using the NODRONE parameter on a faction, it then allows 2 - 3 more workers per base than would have originally been possible, which nicely mimics the effects of having several crawlers per base (i.e. 2 - 3 more workers/ base simulates 4 - 5 crawlers/ base).

This site has most of the information. (Some of its information seems slightly off, but mostly its good.)

Also, if you use the "population" number (the number that changes hab complex requirements), negative numbers increase allowed population, positives decrease.
