I'm currently playing a game as China on a communitas map/marathon speed. My goal is to conquer as much as I can on my half of the map before astronomy and then play some type of peacekeeper after all civs have been discovered (liberating cities to take advantage of her UA). With this in mind, I'm not taking any new cities after the medieval period.
I keep reading that faith buildings are usually better than the other follower abilities, like cooperation or the culture per number of followers. But I also read that its better to puppet a city rather than raze re-settle/annex.
In that light it seems these two ideas conflict. Since puppets cannot faith buy, it would seem that most of my cities would not be able to take advantage of my buildings. But also, too many non-puppets can hurt my culture/science. Am I mistaken?
My overall plan is to take:
Progress/Fealty/???
God of commerce/ Theocratic Rule/ Mosques and Synagogues/ Zealotry and Jesuit Education.
Conquer as many cities as I can and raze all of them/ puppet capitals until courthouses and resettle new cities.
Thanks in advance.
