False Dawn -- GURPS Lite.

Well at the start it said there was no signal...

OK, so AFTER I look at the bookshelf and out of the window (see above), I will try the radio THEN go upstairs with CG.
 
GARGAE
Perfection

There is as with almost all surburn homes, a place for storage and small workshop area. What is missing is any transport. On closer inspection there is a opened [tool box] sitting on a small workbench there is also a some [power tools] which are now useless as there is no power in the house. The only other thing of interest is an old disused [bench press] with a pile of weights.
You begin shifting through the [tools box] for useful items. [Duct tape], [small dimond saw] (Specify if you want to take these)

At this moment you are startled by a short scream.


LOUNGE

CivGeneral [EXP +5]

The Pile of Junk might yeld something, Shifting though piles of broken wood, discared food packages, paper waste, bent nails, smashed plates. You have shifted through the entire pile without having found anything useful.

PERCEPTION TEST: 3+4+2 = 9 pass

Just above the junk pile you notice something odd. Theres a small picture of a landscape aligned perfectly yet the walls are all empty. You examine the picture and notice that behind is a small [safe vault] embedded into the wall. It is locked by a good quality security lock and will require either a key or someone with high lockpicking skills and a lockpick of somekind. Before you can examine it futher you hear a scream.

Lozzy
Radio is a small AM/FM pocket radio.
Enters the kitchen and picks up the remaining [knife]. The other cutlery is useless as effective weapons. With nothing else you move to explore the bookcase

You search the overturn book self for any useful items. Mainly magazines, novels and VHS tapes. You do find one item of Use a large fold out [map] which will prove useful (a little later). You take it. Nothing else here

You are about to look outside the window when you hear a scream.


BATHROOM
MrRats

PERCEPTION TEST: 6+4+4 = 14 failed

You have failed to notice the dried blood around the door handle. In the darkened hallway you also miss the blood stains on the carpet. On opening the door halfway, the door hits something.
That something is the horrfic looking zombi. A large part of hes hand is missing (weak zombi)

WILLPOWER TEST 1+6+4 = 11 Pass
It lunges ar MrRats (who lets out a short scream)
 
COMBAT

MrRats is now combat.
CivGeneral is in the Lounge. So you must use a turn to reach the combat area.
Perfection is in the Garage. Ditto
lozzy is in the Lounge. Ditto

(Reminder you can queue up three attacks which will be resolved at once.)
(Killing stuff nets you EXP, participation in combat also gains EXP)


Quick read of the Gurps rules for combat.
Move (Specify direction or to flee)
Aim (Can be cumalative +1 to hit)
Attack (Please specifiy what attack)
(Guns can also be used for pistol whip and rifle butt or - Fire bullet)
Ready (Dont need unless u want to change weapons or reload)
Move and Attack (penalty of -4)

All out Attack
- Determind (+4 to hit)
- Double (x2)
- Strong (+2 damage)

All out defence
- Increase Defence (+2)
- Double defence (re-roll)

Example
Lozzy might want (1)Aim gun at head, (2) Determind +1
Lozzys Gun skills are 13 with bonus for aim +1 and determind attack +1
Allows for one shot to head at 16

I have edited my attack queue above, I am not sure if this is what FF is looking and I have sent him a PM message (I hope that he does check his PM inbox) asking him for help and to look over the attacks before moving on.

Move to zombie (stayibg a few feet away, naturally)

Attack 1

Aims at zombies head.

Determined.

Shoots at head.

Attack 2

Move up to zombie.

Aim gun (for a pistol whip) at zombies kneck.

Double.

Pistol whip zombies kneck
 
I shout "mr.Rats, jump back" (at the same time as moving towards the zombie).

And "Watch out CG!"
 
I then warn Lozzy Ozzy to avoid shoting when I am doing my Karate Manuvers against the Zombie
 
Fine, I have changed what i'm gonna do.

EDIT: Actually, I couldn't do that in the situation, so I am changing it back.
 
Wait, Just shot him in the head first, then I can finish it off with a few side thrust kicks to it's stomach and slice it's head off with my Bowie knife ;).
 
Dont worry about FriendlyFire.
I assume you execute attacks as a team.

Unless you role get a 18 (6+6+6) Which is automatic miss. (If your team attacking then it hits a team member)
on 6 (2+2+2) you automaticly get a critcal attack.

(This is so that in the future you be fighting a lot of zombis)
If Mr Rates dont post in the next 12hr period I'll put make him run for it automaticly

Determind attack +4 is if you want to pistol whip
For using gun to shoot its only +1
 
So when CG has done those 3 manouvers with multiple actions each is each manouver one attack?

Or is mine the correct method?

(since perfection and MrRats are weak combat charactors)

CORPSE
The zombi collapses in a heap to the floor. You all stare at it cautiously and look at each other wondering if anyone is willing to search the [corpse]

BATHROOM

It looks like the orginal owner of house had been bitten on the hand and rushed into the bathroom [medical cabinet] in an attempt to apply first aid.
inside the bathroom there is blood everywhere evident that he had bleed to death. It answers the question why the owner never finnished boarding up hes house. But raises the question of how he suffered the injury. an uneasy feeling falls on the group
 
Now my sense of dangers are kicking in. Perhaps this first aid kid would be of use to us. Though there are no towels in this room and I need to get MrRats out of this bloody room or risk having him develop an infection. I need for Lozzy Ozzy to carry him to the bench press along with the first aid kid.

Ill search the corpse to see if there is anything of value to us, since I did touched it when I did my karate moves on it :ack:.
