Is it possible to turn the fantasy terrain back on if you've already started a game with it off by accident? (I assumed that 'blue marble' terrain would be even crazier and cooler. Should have said 'standard' or something else boring-sounding.)

Is anyone developing any other more creative terrains that deserve a title as cool as "blue marble"?

Is it possible that any cool and new terrains that have been or may be developed could be easily added as options into the Fall from Heaven mod?

Can more TYPES of terrains be added in a mod? If so, I think it would be cool if more were added.

I really like that nifty fire-dead-terrain that appears around that one race. I'd like to see more things like that added. Perhaps in the future of Fall from Heaven every race will have some crazy-special terrain that spreads from their capital and battles with other terrain types the same way culture does and then there could be fusion terrains where they meet... Oh how cool that would be!

To get the default terrain back, you could go into worldbuilder, save as a world builder file, exit Civ, open the world builder file with notepad or word, and delete the line that says something like Option=GAMEOPTION_BLUE_MARBLE . Save it then and start it as a scenario. A bit complicated for what you want, but possible.

Blue marble was what was added around the second or third version of FfH 2, although it was developed as it's own mod (from satelite photos or such.) Sez made a set that is a bit darker that Kael recently made default, but left the Blue Marble in as an option for people used to that one, in case the new one was hard to see, etc.

In Vehem's Fall Further mod there are swamp terrain, I think, and in another mod that I saw recently. Check out the mods & maps forum. It's certainly possible to add more in if you have art and some idea for effect.

I don't think there are any plans to add more terrain types in general to the main mod, and I'm pretty sure no other civs will have their own versions. We don't like using unique features for too many civs; better they should each have their own schtick. Although it's likely the Illians will at one point get some sort of powers to turn terrain to tundra, that isn't really a new type.

I´d like to see more different terrains in the scenarios in ice. but that is up to the great sages working on the scenarios ;)

I was just wondering, does the AI understand Features that deal damage? I know Kael didn't want to allow negative healing because the AI wouldn't understand how to heal, but seeing how Firaxis added the ability for Features to do Damage (the <iTurnDamage> tag, added for Final Frontier, I think) it makes sense for it to know how to deal with that. I was thinking it would make sense for Flames and maybe also some new Hell terrains to deal damage.

(I'd also really like it if you could change this to typed damage, so resistances could help. Extending the ability to terrains, improvements, and bonuses could be cool too. It could be pretty cool if Hell terrains dealt small amounts of Death damage, so only non-living units could fight there for long.)

I prefer Blue Marble myself, it is smoother and I find it more restful to my eyes :)

I'm still waiting for my Coral Reef feature....

It would probably be a good idea to go ahead and make different versions of Hell's Oceans and Coasts, even if they are only slightly darker versions of the normal terrains like Vehem added in Fall Further.

I still think it could be cool for a very high plot counter to turn oceans into a land hell terrain (like, "the Bare Abyss"), which should ideally appear at a far lower elevation than nomal terrains. Is that possible?

I don't think height manipulation is possible.
I also like Vehem's hell oceans. I didn't notice if they had different yields, but adding +1 hammer and +1 unhealth would make for an iteresting trade off and a boon for infernals.

Health modifications from Terrain don't seem possible. It is quite possible though to make hell's oceans spawn features that cause health problems and extra production.

Of course, I'd welcome the change if someone (Kael, xienwolf, whoever) wants to go ahead and make the tags for terrains, features, improvements, and maybe even bonuses more uniform. (I want features that spawn units, improvement that do damage, terrains that require resistance to damage types, etc.)

I support those ideas fully. :)

I'd like to see a merfolk race that colonizes the ocean and shore/ocean improvements beyond the fish and clams. I'd like to see more resources. (Which is one reason FfH is so cool! Lots of mana types!)

What I REALLY want is whole planet styles (refer to Test of Time version of Civilization II)... Basically lava-covered planets and such and then have there be multiple planets being colonized at once... and lots of other crazy stuff.
