What is your favorite ORIGINAL Civ3 civ? I'm making another thread in C3C forum soon...

I personaly like Egypt, religious and industrius are an awsome pair.

Rome. Because it is Rome. Surely not for the Traits.

Japan - mil/relig with THE medieval era UU - the samuri!

Just build your core, build horses, wait for chiv, do mass upgrade and PRESTO!

Your UU is the best at Offence and Defence, and moves 2!

You now own your continent, and soon you will have boats to get to the rest.

Religious allows for rushing temples cheaply for quick domination.

Egypt. Sure their UU sucked but the Industrious/Religious combo did wonders for me.

Japan. Mil/Relig Best UU in the game! You have good offense and defense. Hardley any turns in Anachry! Best Civ. Like alamo said Mil/Religous is a good combo.

Persia: Scientific for cheap culture (libraries), a free tech each age and Industrious for faster workers, plus a UU that's the #1 offensive threat until Cavalry. The only negative is a GA a little earlier than I'd like it. I prefer it about when Feudalism is discovered so I can go for Sun Tzu & Leo's. I then use my Immortals to go claim Pyramids & Great Library, etc.

If we are talking favorite in terms of aesthetic enjoyment, I like the greeks. The hoplite is a cool unit, and scientific+commercial are both traits which I consider cool, even if they aren't super powerful.

If by favorite you mean "which civ do you play best with", I would say Americans. Bad unique unit, but industrious and expansionist are the two most powerful traits for someone with my play-style.

Persia. In vanilla civ, Industrious and Scientific are my favorite traits. They also have a very good UU, considering that the best defender at it's time is 2 defense and it has 4 attack. Great up until Musketmen, average after that.
