Favorite movie scene?

Hehe I dunno if I'd call it the funniest scene ever, but that is a very good scene :goodjob: In fact I loved the whole movie (the one where they set the house alight is another classic!) :D

The lobby scene from The Matrix remains one of my favourite movie scenes (though there are probably many more that I can't recall)

Two from Saving Private Ryan:

-The scene in which Vin Deisels character has been shot by a sniper and is bleeding to death, yards away from a medic who could save him.

-And of course the opening Omaha beach sequence was amazing.

Both LOTR movies had some pretty damn good sequences.

Anything from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Ghostbusters, the stay puft marshmallow man, a classic.

:D

Ah...Ghostbusters. Classic through and through.

On a more serious note...

When Kay stands there watching the doors close to Michael Corleone's office at the end of Godfather. Chilling.

Any of the DeNiro scenes in Godfather II are beyond classic.

"I tried to think of the most harmless thing...something I loved from my childhood...something that could never possibly destroy us..."

"What did you do Ray?!?"

"It's the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man."

The way he says it is classic. The thought alone of a giant marshmallow man is cracking me up as I type. Sheer genius!
 good, good... other people than me appreciate that classic moment.

That conversation really makes the eighties worthwhile :D

The 80's saw some awesome flics, no doubt about it!

I almost forgot, another 80's classic, also starring Dan Aykroyd:
The Blues Brothers:D

and the best scene in that movie:

Elwood: It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Jake: Hit it!

The god scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, or maybe the unladen swallow scene.:D

Arrrghhhhhhh you reminded me !!!

The bank robbery bomb part in Swordfish. Also Halle Berry's gratuitous boobs.

The scene when Neo wakes up after being dead at the end of Matrix 1. And the lobby scene.

The highway chase in Matrix 2, especially where Morpheus pulls out the samurai sword, cuts through the Twins' car, it flips over, and he smoothly pulls out a gun and shoots the gas tank.

The fight between Zhang Ziyi and Michelle Yeoh in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

It's in Shawshank Redemption, which is, by the way, the best film ever...

here be spoiler:

---------------------------------

The sequence where the institutionalized old librarian is released from prison, tries to adjust to the outside world, fails and finally hangs himself. I like the way it is interwoven with Andy reading the letter...

Also, in the end of the film, the theme is revisited nicely with Red...
