My disc broke ,so I bought civ complete again as an online download..

however the file is pretty huge..(460,000KB)

I cant remember but can someone tell me how much the disc versions take up iin total?

Is it much smaller?

In total? Roughly 1.35 GB (excluding added scenario and saved game files), about three times the size of the file you mentioned.

For another comparison, the data2.cab file on my Conquests disc is 538 MB, nearly 20% larger than the 450 MB download.

With all the mods, scenarios, game uitilities, modded units, save games, my civ3 directory is using 4,16GB
