finalfrontier two questions

i want to make little changes to finalfrontier
first: is it possible to make the game playable without roads. I dont like roads in space! Is there an other possibility to develop ressources an connect cities?
second: i want to ad infantry. I think its a little bit stupid to only defend and invade your stars by starships. But all the starships in finalfrontier have the domain<land>. The only used terraform seems to be space. I suppose space is defined as <land>. How can i change that? I didn`t find "space" in assets\xml\terrain\CIV4TerrainInfos.xml.

1. You can allow trading over space with a tech - see how it's done for coast/ocean in the epic game in Civ4TechnologyInfos. Then you can remove the ability to build warp/jump lanes from construction ships.

2. "Space" is actually Tundra with a different texture.

Slightly off topic, but it fits here and I didn't want to make a new thread.
deanej, in your star trek mod, did you have any troubly getting the techs to work? I've been working on my own FF based mod, but (at least this is where it seems to appear) whenever I add new techs, as soon as I hit end turn the game crashs and defaults to desktop. No error messages or anything. Logs arent much better, they just tell me InitWinApp failed and is exiting. I'm not asking you to fix this, but did you encounter anything like this?

I haven't had any problems. You may have something wrong with the tech requirements.
