Need a way to center the map on a certain city by name. When the map is huge and you have a ton of cities, this can be a pain to locate a certain city's location when you need to. This could be a Find or Locate City option (hotkey maybe) or maybe from the city list, double clicking on the city name would center the map on that city or maybe just a button of Go To City could put you to that city's city screen and exiting the city screen could leave you centered on that city on the world map. I think that is about how it was in Civ 3 and it's disappointing there is not a better way in Civ 4.

That being said, love Civ 4!

Well there are keys to cycle through cities already (not that convenient anyways...)
But yeah, search by name would be nice.

This is already in the game.

Press F1, click on the city name, press C. Now you are centered on the city.

I posted the question of how to do this on the main forums and it seemed there wasn't a way....thanks a ton for the info!

I like to find my cities my looking at map the becuase then i get to know my empire like it was a real nation. I played a civ3 game on a huge pangea map and i eventually had over a hundred cities taking over half the continent. I was still at chieftain level at the time and I had 250 modern armor by the time i won my cultural victory. I learned to find any one of my first 50 pretty quickly. i refrained from rolling over the pathetic AI opponents becuase with maybe 200 cities on the map, it would've driven me insane waiting for each turn to end unless I took the world in 1 turn. Back to the topic, I don't even like cicyling through my cities.
