Believe me, I have searched for ages (actually I have tried once before, about 3 years ago, then uninstalled it since I didn't find him), help me please.

Here is the all the pieces of the map, set together:

And if you could pinpoint where to look:

Any hints appriciated.

PS, I looked at the last post about finding his hideout, but the names didn't seem to fit...Is this because of the patch? (1.0.2)

Looks like a bad one.
I would say your best bet is to just sail up the coast, landing periodically and looking around for any landmarks (eg. totem pole, geyser). 99% of the time these are on the maps, so if you see a landmark, it should be on your map.

I've given up looking personally. you ought to try the Hooked On Pirates website. You're not likely to find a lot of help on this one here.

It's not that hard. Land just north of Vera Cruz and continue walking until you reach just north of that river on the map. What you're looking for is geyser on the map, if you find a geyser go east until you find an Inca Temple, if you don't find a temple continue north along the coast, if you find a temple followed by an abandoned cabin then go back south to the geyser and try again. Yes, you will have to walk around a lot on land but simply walking around enough will result in finding what you are looking for.

In my last game I had a map to the Maya lost city "south east of Campeche" with just three landmarks on it. I made a systematic grid and walked the whole thing until I found it and during the process I found not one but two buried treasures I didn't even have any map pieces for.

I think his problem is [well, was] that the spot could also ABOVE that river....which means he could be doing a lot of walking...

If I ever get maps that say NW of Vera Cruz or West of St. Augustine I usually don't bother.
