Finding people to play with

Hello,

Perhaps I am unaware of a similar existing system, but it would be really nice to have a meeting place that was available for serious players (ie. willing to spend a few hours in a game) who'd like to join multiplayer games at any time of the day. I think the current gamespy system is atrocious and I inevitably end up joining games that are mostly finished. Could this happen? Am I oblivous to an existing system?

I took a break from Civ4 do to getting my wisdom teeth removed and schoolwork, but I have recently decided to re-assimilate myself into it. I too agree that for a game like Civ4, the gamespy system does not accomidate serious players very well. I tried finding people in these forums who would be interested before, but it didn't turn out well. Personally, I would love to start playing again and would be interested in playing some casual, yet dedicated and serious, games.

You interested Mike? Any others who would like to get a small triangle of Msn contacts who are interested?

I might want to join too.
I don't have any experience with multiplayer, though. I tried once, but after two turns the map got all green and I could hardly do anything, so I had to quit. That was annoying, but I hope that it doesn't come back. My graphics card isn't very good (GeForce4 440 with 64 MB memory), so that might be the problem. Anyway, maybe i was just unlucky back then.

My skills are about Noble normally, and if anyone wants to email me, click my username in this post and select "send email to oagersnap". PM will also work.
