Finding people to play with

I'm up for (mostly) pbem games but i could probably do a MP evening/night

Ok, why don't we play a game tomorrow (Dec. 30)? If anyone wants to join, post your timezone and what time you'd prefer to play.

My timezone: GMT+1
Play time: anytime (almost)
 
I'd be keen to play a game at around midnight my time (GMT+10) which would make it around 3pm for u oagersnap. What do ya reckon?? If we got some people (4 or 5) who were keen could we start a game with standard settings and play a few hours then save it and agree on a time to get it started again?? Is that possible?

I've never played multiplayer before, but i think I'll learn it quickly.

It's not PBEM.
Unfortunately I can't play saturday, so unless you can play friday we'll have to find another time.
 
Im definately up for anyone wanting a MP game, and length...I am off work till tuesday and I plan to put in some serious civing. It be great if I could find a nice MP clique, so I don't have to do the gamespy thing...god those games usually suck.

I play at noble level in single player, but usually get stomped when I play that level with 8+ AI players.

Just pm me at ruffryder23_2002 on yahoo IM if you have something going or would like to try to organize something.

I will probably be invisible but I will usually be there.

If we find enough peple to play with, Brailey and I will be able to play at 12:00 (noon) GMT today. If anyone wants to join, post here and I'll send you the game name and the password.
I'll only start the game if we can find at least 2 other people who want to play.

EDIT: There's problems with playing at Gamespy with the new patch, so maybe we'll play over direct IP connection.

Hmmm i guess i missed it then because it is 600pm GMT according to my computer. Ill be on for awhile now if you want to try to get something started again
 
I'm also interested in some multiplayer with Civ IV. Gamespy is as useful as a screw without threads, as far as I can see. For them, it's all about advertising and nothing about creating a decent gaming experience for the user.

At best, I'm an average player, having never actually played any prior Civ incarnations. What I'm interested in is maybe some co-op multiplayer against the AI, so that someone can give me some tips and whatnot on how to be a better player. I doubt I would be a very competitive opponent otherwise.

This is captain Crunch from the fyghtclub clan, and we are trying to open up a division of our clan in civ4. I really would like to find a group of people who are serious about playing and finishing games. Most of my expriences in gamespy have been about unfinished games because most people quit. Which really sucks because I invest like 2hrs in a game, and most people quit by then.

That's why if you are intersted in starting a group visit our clan website at www.fyghtclub.net, registar, and under the civ4 forum post a message saying your intersted in becoming part of our civ4 community.

We also have a teamspeak server,so we can talk live during games it is a real blast.

My goal is to get a solid group having fun playing Civ4-It's a great game, but I do have trouble finding quality people to play with. I encourage all people who want to find good players to sign up. Hopefully, this can be the start of a quality civ4 gaming hub.

Hey, I'm looking for similar multiplayer Civ games to you guys. I remember being so disappointed with Civ 3 multiplayer being a rush-fest, and unfortunately Civ 4 seems similar. I just want to play the game for a good experience, I don't necessarily even want to win, just to play an interesting game. Some details...
