Firefox crash

My game keeps crashing. I've been getting a window:

nsAppShell: Event Window: firefox.exe - Application Error

The exception Breakpoint

A breakpoint has been reached.

etc.

So I uninstalled Mozilla Firefox entirely. Went back into the game and tried playing a turn. The game instantly crashes again and it says firefox crashed again. What does playing Civ have to do with firefox anyway and how can it crash if I don't have it installed. Very confused. I played for weeks with no problems and now suddenly I can't continue this game.

I've had similar issues with Firefox, and switched to Opera. No Opera crashes to report.

Uninstalling leaves some junk on your system. You may need to delete that too.

Reboot your computer, open Task Manager. Is firefox.exe listed? Run Civ 6 but don't load a game. Check Task Manager again. Is Firefox listed?
