So I just bought the game game and I am ready to cause some havock! This is my first game of Civilization.

I choose to play "Rhye's and Fall of Civilization" 3000BC scenario, Behold My Greatness! :D

Hell Yeah!!

Hm... I don't follow...

And so we begin... I found my first city, Babili. I decide to start auto exploring with my god-given warrior and reaserch hunting in order to get closer to my special unit. My capital will build a warrior to further promote my military ambitions.

To my west I see Shusan (My military advisor is like - **** YEAHH!!! :crazyeye: )

After a couple of turns my future empire is being unfolded. :p

My master plan is to capture and develop. So, my warrior is built and I decide to send him exploring the unknown, my capital is 3 turns from growing so I start developing another warrior to let my capital grow so that the worker I am planning to develop will start working sooner rather than later.

Hunting is reaserched and work on archery begins! the capital grows and my new warrior of doom and destruction is sent auto-exploring. Following the warrior I start developing my very own worker!

I meet asoka who is cought cheking me out, I saw no reason to wage war againts this poor phella nor did I have the resources neccasery to do so, I chose peace.

Shortly after I meet Ramesses The Second. :king:

My Worker Is built! then I realise there is nothing usefull he can do but build roads, but then it hit me! lets connect to our future cities. problem solved :goodjob:. I decide to build another warrior until archery is complete.

I must have lost contact with Asoka beacuse I met him again. A turn later I sent my new addition to the legion of doom exploring.

After my city grew the population became sick from all the flood plains, but who cares? archery is complete! I celebrate by starting production on my special unit Asharittu Bowman who I will name... Smith.

Following archery I chose to reaserch Animal Husbandry, which I assume will have something to do with marrying the sheep north-west of my capital.

The first Asharittu Bowman is complete! my joy, my flagship, my Smith.

Why not build another one? so yeah... lets build another Smith. I then Q a settler for the hell of it.

so thats about as far as I got, any tips, hints?

lol smith.

why not Bob?

or is that too cliched?

Turns out i have 2 more hours to play so I kick off by sending my newly built Smith with Smith to Shushan! at the meantime Babili shall build a settler (24 tuns )

The plan is for Smith senior to weaken the strengh of the archer garrison in Shushan and Smith Junoir willl then take the city in the name of the Babylonian Empire ;). 3.3% chance? Thow Shall Be Pwnd!

Well he died, he could have ran away but no... I AM MAN, I ATTACK. phff... macho crap. Smith Junior has a 66.1% chance of winning
which is pretty nice.

BOOYAH! I then decide to keep it for the hell of it, the grain to the north mainly...

Shushan is then made to a Smith mass production center, growth can wait until I get about a nuclear family of Smiths (4-6).

My worker elite bazzit squad is sent farming the grain north to Shushan

(Imageshack sure is slow..... )

Animal Husbandry is complete. I start reaserching Mining and then I shall choose masnory in order utilize the stone and marble resources near Babili and thus increase hammers which will give us some stuff to throw at the enemy :goodjob:.

Hm... I learned something today, The Greek Empire was born and I am the tinyest nation in the world , expect for one which I assume are the Greeks.

And I meet a funky china man, from funky china town, and he was kung-fu fighting - Qin Shi Huang.

Farm finished! Babili is now healthy, to discourage further cooties the worker is sent to the sheep north west of Babili. as you can see the settler is 8 turns away from being completed ( :woohoo: )

Well, the Smiths are complete, four of them that is. I dont like to wait.

Hm... a revolt in Sur... a master plan which is so Dark and evil which only I know of, beacuse if anyone with a weak heart sees the master plan they are sure to die!

Pretty simple... just go there and take the city.

HA! simpler then I thought Sur revolted and I accept it with open arms.

Then a new plan is made! go to - and take Yerushalayim. Muwahaha! :king:

Minor set-back, I will need more than 4 Smiths to take Yerushalayim and its 3 archer garrison.

Oh well, I decide to wait untill Shushan grows (3 turns) to re-open my Smith Mass Production Center. besides, the settler in Babili will be built in 4 turns after which i will build a horde of Smiths to blow the enemy to SMITHEREENS!(clever, no? ;) )

Shushan grows and becomes un-happy. no worries, a Smith will be built there in 3 turns to take away 1 un-happiness.

The Settler is built! hurray! anyway, Smith is sent to Babili and from there he will escort the Settler to the following location -> (one of)

(A Shushanian citizen died. Oh well, you snooze you loose.)

Which is pretty much my short term expansion plan... well, I will post an update tomorrow.

Just so that I can say (type :) ) SMITHEREENS!!! with style.

ahh, it all makes sense to me now.

also: get copper and build some spears. the thousand nations of the persian empire will soon descend upon you.

So where were we? ah yes, Smith arrives in Babili. Smith and Settler are tasked to start a city north of Babili. Meanwhile Worker is tasked with building a mine on the hills next to the sheep farm thingy.

In the meantime I appear to be losing money. But who cares?

My future plans are as followed in this very long and creative list:

a) Take Yerushalayim.

b) Convert to Judaism.

c) Reaserch Bronze Working.

It seems as thoe the people of Sur havent made up their mind about who the Babylonians really are.

Reaserch fund is cut back to 70% - which dosent solve the problem.

Artaxata is founded - Yey!... anyhow, I am having financial diffucultys. Maybe I should cut back on Smiths? Nah...

I figure that after I capture Yerushalayim I will disband some of my Smiths. And fill my army with more advanced axeman and spearman as soon as I get some copper.

I meet Pericles, once again I save humanity by choosing peace. How Nice Am I?? :king:

After my 8th Smith I build Barracks in both Shushan, Babili and Artaxata.

A Babylonian revolt in already Babylonian Sur... 4th time.

Armageddon is about to begin, Bring Teh Pain!!!

Needless to say I lost all my army.

Minor setback... Never will I give up. Not one step backwards!

(Sorry Stalin, I called it first)

My army - at the moment consists of 3 Smiths, and one is on its way from Sur.

I can't wait to see the look on this poor guy's face when Persia enters the scene.

Also, I believe that, when playing as Babylon, you're supposed to conquer the greys and spend all your time focusing on Babili (since the UHV is really the only viable goal), but who cares? You can always abandon the civ for someone else if you start losing (provided you survive long enough for a suitable host--I mean, alternative to be born). You're clearly out to have fun, and I for one am glad to see someone diving in headfirst without a life jacket. Good luck!

Your doing exactly what I did when I first got Civ4. Dying horribly

Well I decided to drop this story beacuse of lack of intrest and support. If anyone cares - I was not destroyed by the persians and lasted up to the ottoman spawning who finished me off. Was a pretty fun game. :crazyeye:

Just found this thread now... i was quite enjoying reading it. Your style of writing is amusing, and it was interesting to see a new player jump in head-first.
