I finally got time this weekend to play my first game of CIV4. It installed and ran flawlessly! I was worried after some of the things I've read. I gotta say the game is incredible, definitely worthy of the Civilization name. And I own every version from the originial DOS one. I really loved the tutorial with Sid--very enjoyable! And the world music is excellent.

I have only one disappointment: I was so looking forward seeing new animations for the advisors. I loved when the military advisor from II (III?) would stagger about drunk and singing when you are "dominating."

Glad you enjoy it, Doc! (bump the thread in my sig  )

I've had that dissapointment for some time (II) ;)

Good job on the enjoying it. After some stutters in my copy (which seemed to magically dissapear) I've been enjoying it non-stop. Had some great single player and LAN games.

And obviously, finally, welcome to the forums (first time I ever got to say that!)
