Flag Colours of some nations in RTW too dark

It appears that the colours of some nation unit flags have no "white" in them.

System Specs:
Core i7 920
ASUS P6T Motherboard
6 GB of RAM (3 x 2 GB)
WD Velocipator 160 GB
Sapphire ATI HD 4870 512 MB (Factory OC)
LG 26" LCD 1920x1200

Windows Vista x64 SP2 (fully patched)
Civilization 4/Beyond the Sword 3.19

1) Lowered the color resolution from 32-bit to 16-bit and still no change.

2) Considering installing an updated driver described here.
