Flak Towers

Hmm, you get city walls, castles, flak cannons could make a useful defence, causing air strikes to be intercepted, perhaps even in the surrounding 8 tiles. Although currently having something on "intercept" results in a better defence. But flak towers could be available earlier than flight, so...

Not to mention with the aircraft limit in BTS, having Flak could give a better defense against large invasion forces(20+ aircraft, especially with evasion promotions)

If you are refering to me referencing them I was meaning they are a form of defence as are flak cannons, I was not suggesting that they should have any effect against air craft.

Walls and castles become obsolete with gun powder don't they, I think thats wrong, lots of castles and walls were built FOR cannons, granted they shouldn't have any/much improved defence against air craft but even a big old city wall would hinder a tank. well, the first tanks at least.

A Flak Tower could be an upgrade to the fort...
Quoting my suggestion about forts:
- Forts are conquered just like cities are. The enemy has to lay siege on them and when every defender dies, they can take control of them. They provide a big defence bonus (something like +75%). They can also be upgraded later to: a)Flak towers, which provide great air defences and an additional +20% defence on the units garrisoned inside them b)Military bases (naval, air and ground), which can produce troops (using hammers from the nearest city), ground bases can also draft some units, air bases can airlift units (+be a base for 6 aircrafts) and naval bases can repair ships faster than normal. c)Fortifications (like the Mazino line on the French borders), providing +20% against armoured-gunpowder units and do not remove the forest of a tile. They do not produce any culture but are taken in account for the power stat of a civ.
