Flev's Replacement - Raging Barbarians

Monster did not reply, so Tigranes has now taken over.

Until he is moved into pbemtracker, I can upload the saves for him.

Tigranes, let me know if you want to change/have changed your leader name

Yes, obviously it has been changed to Tigranes!

Hello fellow flevers! What is going on in this game? It is 1405 and Romans only lost 2 Praets? :crazyeye: No wars in this parallel universe?

Can someone briefly summarize what was happening in 4.5 thousands years of the recorded history?

Quite simple : we fought against mad barbarians for our lives - and remaining civilizations ( less than half from starting ones ) represent the "survivalist" ... ;)

For that reason there was almost no inter-player hostilities - large chunk of lands between our nations which tend to be filled with roaming barbs largely prevent such deployment of troops apart from defending ones.

Somehow for this particular development I'm really interested in this game ! :crazyeye:

GPS and sent to newcomer tommy. Welcome aboard!

Wow! This is the last time Norvin ever posted in this thread TWO YEARS AGO :crazyeye: Feels like Rome's immediate neighbor is a man of few words. Let's check how he answers PM as we have a lot to discuss together :mischief:

GPSed to the host.

Ozzy!

Are players allowed to resign to AI (Alt Q) if they find their situation impossible? I just got PM from Mali's leader who finds his situation impossible to defend against Rome and does not want to vasslalise -- he rather die :suicide:

Well, it depends.

I can see you have quite a stack of praetorians and cats in a nearby city, so I can see why he would think that. OTOH he has macemen and could soon have muskets, so should not be an immediate pushover.

If he thinks that the likely end result of a drawn out war is that he would eventually fold, I can see that the intervening period would be unappealing to him.
However, that would improve the chances of the other players in this game, who could be developing while you are slogging it out.
If he retires to ai, it should be much less of an effort for you to conquer the territory, and that would disadvantage the other players.

But, it might be difficult to find a replacement, unless they like a challenge.
I guess if he definitely wants out, we should ask for a replacement, and see what happens.

How about YOU take over his place, as he made it clear he wants his empire wiped off. So even AI would show more resistiveness in this case. I don't even think it is fair to offer anyone such a "hand" to play with.

You have been eliminated but if you care about this game -- you can as well do us a service and resist me. I don't care if you know my units, and your knowledge of other people's hand will not change much for them.

Hmmm, I have recently pulled out of other games as I do not have enough time ....

My comments about your units were from his perspective, as he has visibility into your nearest town.

Let me ponder..

Rome's player has close to 2K espionage on Mali. I can basically see everything. I really don't think that you will spend more than 15 minutes weekly on this. Let's have some fun :goodjob:

gps...

Can we all put a little more energy into this game? turn around is just unacceptably slow...

Mitu, since you are online right now, would you please brief me on the last war our civs had, when I was not in charge :) It says peace treaty has expired and I see I think 27 Horse Archers at my door  Were you been building them from day one? And who was the builder of that strange road in Jungles, I realized its importance way too late to pillage :(

There was a short border skirmish ... nothing too serious.

Not really - quests could be quite useful sometimes. ;)

And who was the builder of that strange road in Jungles, I realized its importance way too late to pillage :(

Not sure - I think that barbarians built them. Or another player which was wiped off by barbarians.

My heroic Explorer! First shot in our War and Egyptian Horse Archer lost to humble hiker :) What an eerie omen for Egypt  Roman Egle will crash Egyptian serpent!

Unfortunately my predecessors did not prioritize Liberalism and I can start teching towards it only after Egypt has 1 turn to finish it first!

What does Resita mean in Romanian? :hmm:
