is that real time or game time? And having ivory is good ... but grasslands are better.

Good question, was thinking game time......when did we start? Yeah, restart was Jan 10, 2011 was 3650BC; August 16 it's 2275BC ergo a math problem though this from January 22 may be accurate, where's your calculator?

Two reasons ...
1) winding down my civ4 involvement. Haven't played a SP game for ages, only have pbem games on the go, not starting any new pbem games.
2) not emotionally committed to this game yet (and unlikely to be given the game speed) - unlike other games that I am playing where I have at least 1 other human that I hate (you know who your are :D).

As such, this game was a pretty easy one to give up.
