I posted a thread earlier on how to fogbust.

They responded with send people out around your lands and get rid of the black area so the barbarians can't spawn.

Evidently that does not facking work, was I informed incorrectly?

Can someone help?

Like, seriously what the fack is going no here homies.

Peace.

There are three levels of terrain knowledge/visibility--black (no idea what the terrain is), grey (you know the terrain, but have nothing physically there to see what is going on currently), and light (where a unit/city is able to currently see the space.) Barbarians can spawn from any grey space (and possibly black...people who are more informed may know.) I suspect you explored the area to remove the black, but then left so that it turned grey again. Barbs can spawn from grey.

To fogbust, you can just send out a scattering of units, and leave them around the wilderness so that you are actively seeing all the areas. Any space you are currently observing can't spawn barbs. Hills are real useful for the large visibility.

Best of luck! Remember (as some others have been teaching me), Barbs aren't always bad...they can sometimes be real easy sources of experience. :D

Yo Homie, barbs also can't spawn in a 5x5 square centred on any unit.

If there is a barb city though, they can come from there, it's like their crib and stuff. It's totally wack.

EDIT: So check out their 'hood and thang. Put a cap in their ass.

Represent.

What they said.

I find it easiest to count 4 squares between warriors in any direction and then visualising 5x5 squares over them to make sure i haven't mised any spots.

Note that this won't prevent the barbs from founding cities in that area.

Don't forget you pay to support too many units out of your borders. It's often better to just kill them as they appear.

My warriors are often killed by archers who come from far away anyway.

But, I mean, it can be nice. If you have an isolated start, it's nice to just fogbust and not having to worry about barbarians.
