Funny posts...
Yeah I think the game is stable now..hopefully..

FM is not working

It was working earlier today but was pretty slow... However they have at least finally played some games.

I've been kicked out of the cup. Pity. On the bright side: 1-1 in regular time, 2-3 on penalties. Versus the current number 3 of the premier league, and iirc a former uefa cup winner :D

On another bright side (yes, I do have multiple bright sides): I've moved up to third place. I don't know how, since I didn't play any league games afaik.

I'm the new manager of Extremadura in the Spanish second division of game 11. Any tips? Training/transfers?

Have a look at the list of weekly transfers to see how much people are generally paying for players so that you know what to bid.

Hmm so quite a large squad, I assume that you are in the second division. Plenty of 50s especially in the defence but the midfield is reasonably poor and also all the symbols are messed up so you might try selling or swapping players util you have a squad witht the same symbol, and/or colour.

How important are the symbols/colours? Should I just pick the players with the highest ratings even though they don't match up? Or should I pay more attention to the symbols/colours, in some cases possibly ahead of the rankings?

Highest ratings probably go above symbols but the fitness levels are also important. Generally I pick the players with the highest fitness levels unless they have a really poor rating.

The symbols and colors are more a guide for picking your team. When you're looking for a player, go for players in the same color, and preferrably in the same symbol. Or vice versa (maybe that's even better, since it looks like most teams focus on color first).
Take a look at the teams in your league, so you could get a good idea of the "power level" of the players. Players with ratings over 50 are already pretty hard to get.

The best way to get players when you're with a new team is player swapping. Use the player search option to find players who are comparable, but in the color or symbol you want. Then check the teams these players are with: maybe your player fits better in their team. Then propose a player swap.

Be careful what you buy! Loaning players can be useful as well. Check top teams with like colors or symbols for young players. You already got two players on loan.

Point of attention: sell that 30 year old forward right away. He'll be retiring at the end of next season, now you might get more money than he's worth. Aim high (aim for 3,200,000), other managers will assess his value and give a lower bid, some are just stupid. Don't accept offers right away.

Its difficult to give good advice without knowing what other teams are like in your league but i'll say the line-up I would choose. You though will have a better idea of your opponents team and tactics so dont go exactly with what we all say :).

Anyway I'd probably go 3-4-3.

GK: Perez
DL: Sanchez
DC: Moya
DR: Herrero
ML: Ibanez
MLC: Rodriguez
MRC: Owen
MR: Sinclair
FL: Eustace
FC: Herrera
FR: Campos

Defending: Offside Trap
Midfield: Push Forward
Attack: Shoot From Distance
Overall: Short Passing
Agression: 50%

But then its your final decision and you will probably have to try out a few different line-ups and tactics before you get the one to sort your team and league.

About someone saying to sell your 30 year old striker, I would sell Gil but probably not Herrera unless you get a good offer. I still have a 32 year old striker who hasnt announced his retirement yet.

..... Anyway back to my team :) :)

I won 2-1 away against real madrid last match. Ive been waiting for ages to play that fixture after all the downtime. Now 3 points clear at the top of La Liga, Celestini got both my goals.

Thanks for all the advice, and I'll make sure I take note of it. :) Unfortunately, I was unable to access my computer before yesterday's game and so couldn't make any alterations as suggested on here. Fortunately, I won 2-0 away to Atletico de Madrid. :D Two goals from Herrera.

Question: Are the game weeks as real life weeks? Or does it work as in one game per week, so the weekend match would be one week and the midweek match another week?

32 year old forward and still no retirement? Ok, I'll take my words back. I assumed forwards retired at the age of 31, but apparently that's more random. 3-4-3 does wonders for me. I'm using man marking though, but my defenders have high marking skills. I think "zonal" is a no-go when you play with only three defenders.

Could you post a screenshot of your squad canterbury?
