Footsteps Keep Disappearing...

Every now and then they appear, but then they don't appear.

I have all of the highest graphic settings - and a top end machine.

What gives?

certain units seem to show footsteps (such as a scout) but others like warriors don't...

has anyone come across this kind of problem?

Honestly never noticed this before. Let me check it out.

if I understand you're problem, I think what you're seeing is just the graphical effect of the game...when you move the unit the footsteps fade in and then fade out. they are not supposed to remain on the terrain (think of how ugly that would eventually get with footsteps all over the map)

I think his problem is that some units (such as Scouts) give the footstep effect correctly, but others (such as Warriors) don't.
