For the Horde

I was just playing a game as The Clan and it would not let me use the world spell For the Horde. I was not at war with the barbs I thought this was the only thing that stopped you from useing the Clans world spell. Anyone got any ideas?

Only requirements are that you are not at war with the barbs, and that they have at LEAST 1 unit. The AI has an additional requirement (Barbs must have at least 60 units), but it doesn't apply to players.
 
Well it was turn 136 and they got barbs all over and I do not have the option for For the Horde guess I will bug it.
 
One question: Just above the scoreboard, does it say "Spellcasting Disabled"? If so, the Amurites cast their worldspell.

If that is the case don't feel bad. That was the cause of my last bug report. I uploaded a save and had someone point it out to me...

I think they need a better one... but, I don't have any ideas...
 
I dont remember seeing that. I thought I looked. I will make sure next time we start the game up. It is a multi play game and the save is not on my computer. Thanks for quick reply to my message.
 
Amurite world spell...I don't have any immediate great ideas either. Free promo for all of their arcane units? Damage/hold/kill all non-Amurite adept units?
 
Perhaps we should start a new thread up about it?

Random chance for mana to pop in their lands? Free building in capital that gives 3 more 'palace mana'?
 
I feel that it isn't interesting enough...

Not magical or Amurite-ish enough...
 
Got another multi player game going and using Clan again it is round 44 and I do not have the option of For the Horde in this game either. The ritual that prevents spellcasting is not active in either game.

edit: It seams I get the spell when I start a single player game but not it a multi player game.
 
Is there "no world spells" option checked?

Also, Amurite world spell is a meh. ILLIANS!!! Illians' world spell is the most annoying thing ever (Except for the Basium's when you're demons).
 
No, I tend to think that the Elohim world spell is the most annoying, as they usually cast it when I've defeated or vassalized every other civ. I typically turn off world spells though.
 
I can't remember what the Elohim world spell is but I think that Illians have the most annoying one. 60 turns of just hitting enter, bleh.
 
Elohim worldspell makes all enemy units unable to go in Elohim borders for 30? turns.
