I wanted to get some opinions on the following. I wont likely get to this immediately, but if someone else wants to take a hand at it before myself, feel free :-)

I find the Resources screen of the Foreign Advisor to be one of the worst for ease of use. You have to really look at it to figure out what is what. I'd say at least half the time I don't even bother I'll just contact the CIV and look at what they want to trade.

Current Foreign Advisor (Resources) Screen for Comparison:

The proposals don't HAVE to get rid of the headers, but doing so - as you may of noticed, freed up exactly enough space for another leaderhead.

Also, if possible change to a real scrollbar that the scrollwheel affects.

Proposal 3
Depending on thoughts/feedback, Possibly get rid of the "Wont Trade" / "Surplus" headers entirely, and just have a single "Resources" Column that list what Resources the CIV has that aren't also listed under "Will Trade".
Also since there must be code there that overlays the numbers, above where your surplus is listed, that is a possible addition too.

Does anyone else find that screen an annoyance?
Find the Resources that the Civ wont trade for/to useful in any way?

Note, I prefer proposal 2 ;-) And a single "Resources" header for the CIVs, unless there is some use I am missing from that info as is.

Yes, I find the FA Resource tab to be a PITA. Was just thinking a couple of nights ago it was crappy, and should be the next screen we tackle. I personally like Prop. #2, and yes getting rid of the headers is a great idea.

I agree, proposal #2 is better, but even the #1 is better than now. Instead, I don't like #3.

You cannot put on a real scroll bar and use IconGrid.py (Edit: Actually - maybe you can - let me think about it and play with it a bit). It does the scrolling by completely redrawing the screen. Don't even think about not using IconGrid as the normal python code does a really really bad job of lining things up.
