Beyond Earth would lend itself fairly well, I think, to a Fantasy Mod based on this setting I've developed.
The Affinity system would lend itself well towards either spiritual or racial differences.
While I have no experience modding Civ 5, I do have some experience with Civ 4.
(While I realize that this post is extremely limited in scope, That's mostly because of the newnes of BE)
