Freeze when turn begins

My game freezes when the turn begins and there is a natural disaster popup occuring (possibly multiple instances at the same time? like in Apocalypse mode which i'm using). This does not always happen on the same turn (i can load autosave and play further) but seems to happens frequently after playing for a certain amount of turns (more than 5 usually done it for me, but sometimes 2 will freeze the game)
I'm playing with lots of big mods
