Freeze with Wonder Movie

First time poster - sorry if this has come up many times before. . .

Have been playing for three weeks or so, and just updated to the 1.52 patch. Since this, I am occasionally having trouble with the game freezing when it is about to start a movie from completing a wonder. It isn't every time, and sometimes, if I reboot the game and play again, it will do fine when it gets to the wonder movie.

Anyone have any thoughts on what to do with this?

Also (and I apologize for the complete noobness of this question), where can you load the autosaves? Since the game just crashed after about an hour of play, I would really like to only lose that last turn (rather than the last hour). . .

Hey!

I'm an absolute beginner as well! I've experienced the same problems as you do. But in my case it happened before and after I upgraded from 1.00 to 1.52. The problem is solved now with an update of my video (graphic) card driver (I have a NVIDIA GeForce 5200).
To your other question: If you open a file there is a window showing the directories of your civ. If your are in single player modus click on the plus sign of single, then you should find a subdirectory named "auto" look for the latest entry.
