Freezing game

Hello, Im new here and i need sme help. My game freezes quite a lot, sometimes the screeen will shake as it does so, other times it will freeze mid turn, i tried the Stardock website, but got nothing, can someone please help me?

What are your computer specs? If you don't have enough RAM or your video card isn't up to spec this game won't run very well. Try turning down or disabling some of the graphics settings. Also, what version of the game are you running (including expansion pacs)?

My RAM is 2 GBs. My video card is NVDIA GEforce go 7600.

Have you actually contacted Stardock tech support. There is an error file generated when the game crashes, which will be of use to the Tech Support team and may help get to the bottom of the problem.

I have the exact same video card as yourself and suffer no problems, even when my system had 2GB.

I would suggest updating your drivers. Because Nvidia are not exactly supportive of mobility video cards, a website to go to is

Just for comparison, I'm running version 175.80 driver for my video card.

But yeah, you need to provide more information to help troubleshoot, such as Windows version, version of Gal Civ 2, direct X, etc etc. Best left to tech support.

Yeah, I had to force a Forceware update for my video card also now that I think of it. After looking at that link, may be time to update again, been a few years...
