FS2- The Soviet Union

I believed it would be a waste to use the stack against China
Well, we lost a city (with nice commerce, that is), so I cannot understand this comment at all. Maybe it's tough since the stack might need a while to reach the north, but units in a war will never be a waste.

I see the flaw in my logic. However, it would be wise to know that our peace treaty with Monty is over, he can attack us at will. I knew the difficulties in moving the stack north, and I had believed it would be possible to stop China with the forces based north, and the forces being produced there. I also simply do not trust the Aztecs to remain peaceful, who is too say they won't try a two front war?

While I know I screwed up by not moving the stack north, it is unimportant now. Unless you wish me to break tradition and mulligan (and deliever a decent report), which I will never do, all we can do is trust in JOE to rectify my error and drive China back.

And God I hope Monty doesn't wipe out the US...

*Catherine raises herself from her Chair of the People*

*she kicks Farae a few times for his failure*

*she glares at the rest of the SGers to keep them in line*

*she holds a Chinese flag*

FOR THE MOTHERLAND!!!!

*she shoots the flag on a flaming arrow at a Chinese prisoner, who is burned to death, along with the heathen Chinese flag*

I have also decided to remove the variant rule that would create a "Warsaw Pact", though if I see a willing nation...:)

OK guys, I have to say that I'm starting to feel a little out of my depth with this game, and can't honestly say I knew what the hell I was doing about the ransacking Mao Knights are inflicting on our lands.

If it serves to improve the game that I step out, I will, but I'm happy to carry on if you're all OK with it.

JoE, not wanting to sound negative, but this datalogger report tells me absolutely nothing about what is really going on.
I can't tell where fighting occured. I have 0 feeling of the game. It's ok to have datalogger info, though I don't really need to know the promotion logger. But to have a whole report with hardly any user comment is the death of SG's.

Anyway, I can't comment why you said this game might be too difficult for you, I got no clue what is really happening. :(

oops dudes, i will only report tommorow because I forgot the varient of not building banks lol=\ need to start all over=[

I have to agree with ThERat, JOE. The turnlog is a great tool (I prefer it greatly over constantly alt-tabbing and taking notes on everything) but some elaborating comment is very important, even crucial, to informing the SG team

Fair enough comments. I'll take it to mean "use the autolog as supplementary info". I do tend to add a fair number of user comments, but didn't feel it necessary in this as it was all military builds and fighting. I notice that the autolog doesn't actually tell you where you are fighting, so this is certainly something that could be elaborated on.

Still, these SG's are meant as a learning experience are they not? So I'll take my next turn, try to elaborate, and would be appreciative of any feedback (negative or otherwise) as to its content.

Well, it is especially during these situations (war) that elaboration is needed.

Of course SG's are very good for learning. I'm still rather new to SG's myself so there are a lot of things that I still need to learn as well;)

Before I start, I want to apologize that there are no screenshots, the game went nuts=P

Turn 0:
From my initial overview, I can see that we are heading towards Nationhood, and that’s good because we need the drafts, and to get as fast as we can to the Cossacks.
In addition, I see that Alex is a good pal of Mao, and I fear we will hear from him at the future.
I moved our ‘fleet’ to the borders of Cathrinegrad , and it doesn’t look good. I can see no way we can take this city and protect her in our current situation.

Turn 1:
Mao tries to conquer Macau with a couple of SoD ™ , but fails.

Turn 2:
Mao Strikes Back ™ but fails again  .
Mao is doing lots of danage to the towns near leningrad, but we don’t have the army needed to kill his knights and to protect the city itself.
These attacks are doing damage to our income, so we are at –2 at 60%.
Novogrod is being whiped :whipped: to finish market.

Turn 3:
Mao attacks once more, but after it he agress for unconditional peace and moved back to Pleased ( ).
Time to rebuild our economy, cus it sucks right now=P

Turn 4:
Monty turns Furious after I declined to help him attacking the American capitalists.
Our SoD is near Monty borders and he’s still at the stone-age so I don’t fear him right now.
Whiped Moscow to courthouse and Market at Leningrad. :hammer:

Turn 5:
Egypt has gone GA.

Turn 6-7: nothing…

Turn 8: Monty captured San Francisco from the Americans:(

Turn 9: some new cottages were built.

Turn 10:
In conclusion, we are out of the war, Mao is pleased, Monty is furious.
Nationalism will be finished in 2 turns, then we must go to Military Tradition and get our beloved Cossacks.
Alex has placed an SoD near Leningrad, and I don’t know what his intentions are.
Don’t be sad for Catherinagrad, we will take plenty of cities from Monty.

Hi there, comrades!

I'm back to play. It was very cold in Bruxelles I can tell you. So I hope we got some hot action going on here.

But: I'm not pleased with the situation of Catherinagrad. We have to call for revenge. Where is our honor if we bow to our strongest neighbour who attacked us sneakishly. No reasons for that. Think about our people. Will you leave them suppressed by those Chinese snakes until every bit of russian culture is pressed out of Catherinagrad?

Got it, will play in the next few hours. Mao will pay for his betrayal and we shall retake Catherinagrad!

i dont think its a good idea. wait until he attacks, cus right now he's pleased, compared to Monty who is furious and can declare any turn now...
at least what for the Cossack... the people of Catherinagrad are brave and can wait. we are at 4th place of GNP!! our varient is to be 1st...

?! WTH i've just noticed!!! JOE you've attached the gamesave of the one who played before you and not your own, so i've played at your years!
arghhh...
Strauss wait till he attach his own and pick one of our games and go on...

:smoke: so we played the same turnset twice, no wonder I read about our stack 2 times...
but on this SG I am not the least surprised, actually this affects the overall motivation a lot.

I am not even sure about our goals in this game any longer, leader please let us know what's going on. Are we supposed to befriend Mao or what is up?
