Got to be the game I just started to play.
I wanted to try the Spanish out as I've never really gotten to far with this particular civ and I mainly play on diety.
The barbs and map were set to random to give more suprise to the game, and suprise was what I really got...
Around 3000 BC I discover the Persians are right next door to me, this alone was pretty scary as they're a fairly dangerous civ, especially early in the game with their great UU but I figure I have enough time to expand and gather up enough defense/counter offense to hold my own. The same turn I discover the Greeks off into the jungle and this makes the game even more interesting. I have the best offensive early unit in the game vs. the best defensive unit early in the game. Definately a suprise I wouldn't have expected, but the Greeks aren't a very aggressive civ, so I was I wasn't very worried, ah yes... the suprises to come.
About after I had laid my 3rd city down, the Greeks declared war on me! Sneak attack, right at the capital which was defended by one (1!) warrior who defended against two attacking Greek warriors. The first battle was edgy, a chop and a HP down I go, a second one and another HP gone... oh great, I've got to turn 2500 BC or so and I have to reset, but nope! the warrior defends the next blows and promotes! gaining two more HPs and another warrior tries to attack across the river which loses straight up, the Hoplite was next and probably the beginning of their GA if they wanted to risk it and win, but they don't (stupid, stupid AI) and so the hoplite leaves, ahhh, so I fended off the invading Greeks, joy! I put out a spearmen and set him into the mountainous lands towards the Greeks, hopefully their warriors and archers can commit suicide against this lone spearmen as he cackles and tosses his spear at the suiciding Greeks... So, I set out to get my fourth settler out and he gets into place, the war with Greeks going well, holding my own and on diety which is quite a suprise to begin with. The real suprise comes next, not one turn after I had laid the city down, the Persians declare on me, the city has no defense in it and is razed to the ground, not only do I have the best defensive unit in the game up against me, but now the best offensive unit in the early game. This is when I decided to call the game quits, both sides with a war which I could probably not hold, but I definately consider this my most bizarre and funny start I have ever had.
