yea I saw that lol. I wondered why or how he got the start menu in the pic for some reason because its obscuring some of the screen. kinda funny though

That's "flying camera" mode. I love to use it for composing screenshots. Edit your game's INI and set AllowFlying = 1, then press CTRL-F in-game to turn on flying camera mode. You can turn off the interface with ALT-I.

Ah, but he and Cyrus are both researching flight in 17 turns, the only time you would see someone elses research like that is if you are in a permanent alliance. That is why he is listed next to Cyrus, the alliance is in first place.
