What a strange place for a lighthouse.

Also check this screen shot from Alexander, weird eyes huh?
Wow, He sure has some blazing eyes! Good thing he's not annoyed or furious with you, or he might zap you!

I was playing a game going for a time victory for the HOF tables, when I got to thinking about that city, the capital. I think it was one of the best cities I had ever had, even though its size was only a 22. At the end of the game it was producing 900 beakers and 387 culture per turn, and had more than 6 great people as citizens (it only showed 6 great prophets, but the research/wealth/culture info showed more stuff produced by specialists than the 9 shown were producing). Also, at the time I took the screenshot, it had an academy, National Epic, Oxford Uni., The Great Library, Oracle, Taj Mahal, 3 Gorges Dam, Pentagon, Space Elevator, Angkor Wat, Broadway, Rock n Roll, and Hollywood. But by far the best part about the whole thing, the 5000 year old warrior! Never upgraded, probably never moved. I had a lot of wars, but nobody ever came close enough to the capital to be a threat I guess. The picture of the Space Elevator going up and down behind the protection of a shirtless dude with a club is awesome. :crazyeye:

I do stuff like that all the time. It'll be the modern age, and I'll still have archer divisions covering my central cities.

Thanks to you, I nearly sprayed my screen with tea.

Near a coast it's mucho dangerous to let a city unprotected. I've learned that from a war with Isabella who declared war on me, landed troops and razed a city protected only by a longbowman in the same turn. She's the only AI who has ever been clever enough to make something like that tough : if you face Montezuma a warrior is more than enough.

Wow! The people in C IV really are gettin lazy! And who's bright idea was it to put trees in the middle of the road? Who's the architect for that city? :) :) :) :) :) :) It also looks like the longbow on the right is either relaxing on the Masjid-al-Haram or smashing it!

And the legs of the middle longbowman are going right through that circular building... Very functional:)

mythmonster2, your 'random quote of the week' is by Mark Twain. It goes like that: When angry, count to four; when very angry, swear.
And, I guess, you still don't know him since he's dead.

Worst. War. Ever.

I didn't want to put it in the thread cause it's a 5mb gif animation. It's definitely pointless, but I'm not sure it qualifies as "fighting". Wish I coulda made a better animation, and maybe added Benny Hill music...

:rotfl: Well, that was pointless.

Seems that the Chinese built the Wall. The Berlin Wall, that is...

weird start for a normally filled huge map by the way. The Germans were doomed from the start, and if the Chinese would actually have been smart enough to attack them they'd be unstoppable.
