What i would like to see in a mod is some sort of future claim trading

So you want to trade my land lock civ, sailing because I never researched but all got to give you is monotheism

I can see circumstance when that would be a good trade, there close to the same cost, although monotheism is both more expensive and provides better benefits (normally, map can change every thing). I would like to make the trade but the Computer will never remember that I gave them a better deal so next time around I can get a slightly equal trade favoring me.

So right now i stuck alway getting the worse end of a deal or never trading.

Any way to add a future claim to the trading interface?

You might be interested to know, that such uneven trades are where "Trade Relations +" in Diplo comes from. So you are actually getting something from it.

As to Modding - it sound like a biggish SDK job.

I thought + trade relations came from trading resources. May have miss that one though

I have had the computer refuse to trade some tech with me for a slightly less tech, and then turn around and give me the tech, which it refuse to trade, when I demanded it. Of coarse there was a slight diplomatic penalty then. Seems to me if it was willing to give it up for free, it would be willing to trade it for slightly less to keep me happy.

Trading ressources gives some as well ("We appreciate the years you provided us with ressources"). The "Our trade relations have benn fair" comes from uneven trades.
If he's pleased or friendly you can demand stuff without penalty ("Ask for help" it's called then.)

Not that your idea is bad - makes sense somehow, but it's just seem to be too much work - not only you need to include those Diplo options, but also tune the AI to use them.
