future techs????????

What the hell are these things? Am I actually building up to something or am I wasting my money by investing in them? They seem to be just sort of markers to say "you're all done, but we'll keep working for you anyway."

Do they have any point?

They have very little point. You can earn a few points from them but the impact is so small that the gold invested in researching them is much better spent elsewhere.

The only things you get is gold and more future techs. You can keep researching future techs but the money is better spent elsewhere

better spent where? trading and happiness? are there any other uses for cash?

It's better to use money to rush improvements and units once you've researched all the techs. Also, change scientists into entertainers and put money into luxuries. Happiness is worth more points than future techs are.

You can use the huge amount of gold you would get to buy other nations to your cause.. or just use them to rush improvements and units
