Alternative Method for Uploading Big Files

If the file size of your Civ3 modpack/map/scenario/unit is pretty big and you don't want to split it into multiple 3 MB files, you can send me a PM and I will give you login info of a temporary FTP upload account for you to upload the file. The account allows you to upload up to 100 MB.

Yeah it is kind of like a unit library, it is a mod I have been working on for a long time. when I learned how to add units I got out of hand,(I have 130 units so far.) and started to add unit after unit, and could not stop. See I have tons of free time, and I have to use it some way. So I though I would make a mod that surpassed all other mods, but I have to surpass DyP frist.

well, I have a mod thats about 140megs, but I cant upload before firaxis says its ok to use ptw units in the game..

Is it for ptw? Because if it is, there should be no problem in using them.

No, its for vanilla, but I use ptw graåhics, and AFAIK thats illegal.. please say so if its not...

How would it be illegal? All scenarios, mods, etc. are property of Firaxis. Its not like you're marketing the mod separate of Civ3/PTW.

To be safe, I'd put a little disclaimer in a readme.txt saying that some graphics are from the Play the World version of Civ3.

400 MB. I have a cable modem and I don't even want to download that. You guy must have been working on these files for years, before civ3 even came out.
I know a new way for CFC to make money. TF could put all the dozens of gigs on cds or DVD and sell them of the mod owners agree. It beats downloading all that. Kind of like the 'best of the net' the Firaxis did.
