Congrats. For some reason I thought we had another weekend before the deadline, but to be honest none of my games got off the ground. I think I had chosen not wisely, going for the Mongols and Zulu as my opponents.

Yeah, I did the same thing (with the Byzantines as my civ). In the first four games I got slaughtered early. In the last one, things were going well (except that I didn't get a single SGL ), and I was slated to win by 20k in 1826ad. Unfortunately, the Mongols were going to win by 60k culture before that, and neither the Zulu nor I had anywhere near half their culture. I sent an invasion force to the Mongols' main island, but it got wiped out the turn it landed. I stayed at war with the Mongols and brought the Zulu into it hoping the Mongols would mobilize (thus slowing their cultural growth), but they never did.
