I've been playing around with the Celts on Monarch small maps and having a ton of fun. There's something about those Gaelic Swordsmen. They seem to have just a little bit more life in them than other swordsmen, giving them the ability to survive as they attack spearmen defending cities. Their ability to retreat and extra movement is unbelievable.

Brennus Beginning Strategy - put research to 100% on turn 1, beeline to iron and build just enough warriors/settlers to scout out the land so that you can settle near the iron. After Iron, build barracks and start pumping out those veteran Gaelic swordsmen. Next beeline is to Literature. Use one of your great people to build the Great Library. Take advantage of the cheaper religious buildings and build temples first in all the conquered cities.

You just described my favorite strategy for Brennus. :woohoo: CELTS ROCK! Their traits are awesome, and their UU even better!

I like tiny pangea's with Brennus. They never get out of the Ancient Age. ;)
