I was one turn from completing the last part I needed to launch my spaceship.

Then I saw a message saying my Docking Bay had been sabotaged.

Well, then I looked where this occured, because I didn't recognize the city name, and I saw that the Docking Bay was sabotaged in a city I had just conquered from the enemy, about 3-4 turns before.

I had ALREADY built my own Docking Bay, many turns before, in one of my home cities far from the front lines.

However, now I have ZERO docking bays... WTH!!

Complete and utter HORSE S*%T!

I am simply going to use the World Builder to replace my original Docking Bay, because there's NO WAY I'm waiting another 8-9 (extremely tedious) turns to rebuild, simply because of this idiotic glitch/bug.

Still, I thought it best to report this.

I am using BUG/BULL and BAT, latest versions of course.

Greeeeeaaaaatt.....

so now I see the Worldbuilder does not allow placing of the Projects.. so then I reloaded to the previous turn, and added a Security Bureau and a spy to the city, and STILL the enemy spy succeeded..

wow this is seriously freaking lame and annoying. this game is at the totally tedious stage, I just want to END IT..

is there No Way to re-add my Docking Bay using the Worldbuilder???

BS!

None that I am aware of. If you didn't play with random seed on reload on, there is nothing you can do to stop the spy. She will succeed however many times you reload with some minor exceptions.

PS. This ain't a bug. Next time, when you are going or a space victory, don't go around conquering stuff. It leaves you open to all sorts of crap, as you found out the hard way.

How can it not be a bug?? I've built my own Docking Bay already, why should one that I've conquered suddenly supersede/replace it?

If not a bug, it's at least a bad oversight. If you can only possess one project, then the game should give you an option of which one to keep, at the very least. OR, it should be the default that any projects are destroyed when you take a new city...

However, I DID find a way to avoid the problem. I reloaded and used a spy already in place to run a Counter Espionage mission. The AI was subsequently unable to afford its sabotage mission.

My Spaceship launched on the correct turn.

Yay!

What are you on about? You did not conquer the docking bay. You already built yours. They sabotaged it from the city you conquered because it was weak and had an increased chance of success.

That is not a bug. That is the way it is supposed to work.

EDIT: Oh, I get it. You are trolling to vent your frustration at the game because the AI realised that you made an error and capitalised on it. Carry on then.

I think I see the problem. You did not realize that the AI could sabotage your space ship parts after they were completed from any city that you own, no matter where the parts were built. If you have a newly conquered city, it is very cheap in EP for the AI to do that from that city, whereas it is so expensive in your established cities that it is unlikely, but not impossible, to happen. I have had it happen on occasion even in "old" cities. You just have to rebuild it. You can figure that it will probably not happen again in that game before you finish the spaceship because it is such an expensive mission that the responsible AI will be unlikely to accumulate enough EP against you to do it again. The exception might be because the AI gets a Great Spy and uses it against you, which will then give it a boatload of EP. BTW, if you have been keeping an eye on the various AIs' EP, you can tell who did it by the large drop in the number of EP they have against you. FWIW, they can't sabotage the spaceship after it is launched, only beforehand.

I see. No, I did not realize the AI could sabotage my project from any city no matter where it was built.

Thanks for the clarification S. Bernbaum
