Thanks this is really interesting. I am getting excited about this game and may purchase it when I get some free time.

How has your experience been so far, as someone new to the franchise but with plenty of Civ experience? Does it feel like the same thing in space or are there real differences?

It is just like Galciv 1 and 2, expect even more boring.
