game crashing late on

ok .so i keep trying to play this game ..most enjoyable ...but late on , no matter which map size etc it just crashes /freezes lateon its frustrating ..... to the point of not wanting to play the game because you know its gonna crash before the end ! .
is something going to be done about this ?

I have had the exact same problem, but thus far it seems to have gotten fixed after I Verified the game files through Steam.
If you look at the thread about crashing after 220 turns, you will see, near the end, more info on how to find the Verification of the game files through Steam, which replaces corrupted files with corrected files.
