Game crashing

Hello guys.

My game keeps crashing. I do ATL-TAB now and then to get to my msn but i dont know if that is causing it to crash. But when it does crash my civ4 game kinda pauses for about 30 seconds then my computer restarts...

The other problem my sister is having is when she gets to a certain stage of the game civ4 closes with no warnings. She then starts the game again and resumes the last saved game and as soon as she gets to that part of the date (different tile) her civ4 closes again and it happens time after time :/

any ideas?

Are you using windowed or fullscreen mode?

1. Uninstall this driver
2. Install oldest driver ( ATI - 4.12-5.1 .. Nvidia 45.23 )
3. Playing with windows mode

so your suggesting its a graphics card problem?

Why do you suggest that exact driver? 'cause I'm gradually going back with my
drivers, but not that far...

Have them proved to be more stable? Thank you.

System specs would help a fair bit, but here is a SERIOUS suggestion. Don't run MSN while running Civ IV, it'll only create problems. Hell alt-tabbing from most games to MSN means they take a while to switch back but currently you're just playing with fire if you use MSN and Civ IV at the same time. Once again if you told us the system specs it'd be much appreciated ^_^
