ok...maybe a stupid question since i could find anything related to my question in the forum...
but can anyone tell me why my game ends at 1600 AD...?

thanks

Maybe because of the types of victory you've chosen to be available? Does it end after any certain event, like the createn of a Great Wonder or anything like that?

maybe you or the AI achieved a victory condition such as domination, space race, diplomatic, or whatever, and coincidentally the year was 1600.

There are 2 possibilities. The first is what is mentioned by Hygro and biggamer132 said. The other could be that you set the game to a number of turns smaller than 540, perhaps 400 or so.

Welcome to the forums!

One more possibility is that the Great Wonder, the UN was built and a vote was taken. Once a vote is taken, the winner is determined, end of story.

Edit, sorry, diplomatic was mentioned above. Anyways, that is what is meant by diplomatic.

Well if you won or lost it would be stated WHY in the end-of-game-box, right?
